Purchased brand new and considering how much this unit costs I would expect it to be a lot more reliable.
The pump has gone for a second time in 4 months with weekend camping use only (first pump was replaced under warranty).
Replacement pumps from the supplier are sold at a Crazy price $185inc
I'm now looking at setting up an aftermarket pump for reliability purposes as I simply do not trust the supplied pump based on my experience.
I have seen the supplier selling used items on trademe with new water pumps installed so it is obviously a problem and units have been returned for this reason (at a guess).
Look at other brands and reviews first would be my advice.
I bought this unit brand new.
Went away camping around 2hrs away from any shops.
On very 1st run the pump crapped out and wouldn't work.
I will give it that gasmate did send another 2 pumps to the nearest shops which I drove to pickup. Both of these pumps also didn't work.
I ended up having to remove the Bilge pump from the boat and making that work. Still the unit didn't work very well.
This product still officially stands as the worst item I have ever purchased. Harsh, but true. Since day 1 I have never been able to just connect and use.
