Mild American Mustard
Turn on the two leftmost burners on the Gasmate Tellus BBQ to low-medium heat.
Cut Rye bread into 2cm thick slices, and spread a generous coating of mayo on one side of each slice.
Flip the first slice mayo side down, and top with a slice of each cheese, mustard and Jalapenos. Make sure to get the Jalapenos in between cheese layers! Top with the other slice of bread, mayo side out! It might seem odd having the mayo on the outside of the toastie, but that’s what will create that deliciously crunchy golden brown outer crust.
Transfer your toastie to the Tellus, flipping regularly until the bread is evenly golden on each side. NOTE: Be careful not to overheat the hotplate to avoid toast burning before the cheese melts.
You're done if the cheese is melted and gooey in the middle. If it’s not melted, turn the heat down to low and cover with a heatproof lid or upturned pan until the cheese is gooey.
